Final Project

For my final I choose to shoot West Mountain.  On first glance most people see West Mountain as just a pile of brown dirt and rock, mostly barren of vegetation, especially when compared to the other taller, more lush mountains just to the east.  One of the things I was trying to do with this project was to show the beauty of the what I have come to refer to as "my mountain" (and yes I pronounce the "t" in mountain)
Simply put, I can't adequately describe all the this simple pile of dirt means to me.  I am not sure that the feelings and thoughts that I have gained from 25 years of living in the area can be put into words.  There are too many experiences, too many stories I've collected, too many thoughts and feelings to put into word and to do justice to what my feelings are. Again, it  may be just a nasty looking pile of rock to some, but this singular mountain which stands alone and unconnected to any other mountain range represents so very much to me.
